(هـ) التعاون مع الإيسا وإدارة الشؤون الاقتصادية والاجتماعية بالأمانة العامة دعما لتنفيذ مشاريع بشأن استخدام بيانات سواتل رصد الأرض في مراقبة الأنهار الجليدية والغطاء الثلجي في أمريكا اللاتينية، وإدارة الموارد الساحلية في آسيا، وتحديد المناطق الرطبة في افريقيا وتخطيط ادارتها؛

(b) Implementation, in cooperation with ESA, France and European industry, of a project for constructing facilities for the launching and adaptation of Soyuz-ST carrier rockets at the Guiana Space Centre in French Guiana, with work on promising means of launching heavy payloads (Ural project);

It was noted that the Government of Japan and the Office for Outer Space Affairs had not made any coordinated effort with regard to the worldwide development and promotion of basic space science until the development of the " Tripod " concept by the Office for Outer Space Affairs, in cooperation with ESA and the Government of Japan, to introduce the research and education of basic space science at universities in developing countries.

Through the European Space Agency (ESA) there have recently been received, free of charge, high-resolution radar space images from ERS-1 and ERS-2, which are already being processed and form part of the project undertaken in collaboration with ESA entitled " Applications of the ERS-1 and ERS-2 radar satellite images at the research stations of the Golfo de Batabanó -- Isla de la Juventud -- Archipiélago de Los Canarreos " .
