The Government established the Basic Policy on Measures for the Prevention of Spousal Violence and Protection of Victims (established in 2004 and fully revised in 2007), which provides guidelines to local governments for the formulation of the basic plan.

86. In June 2003, the Specialist Committee compiled and published a list of points of contention regarding the review of the Law for the Prevention of Spousal Violence and the Protection of Victims.

The committee compiled a report entitled " Toward Smooth Enforcement of the Law for the Prevention of Spousal Violence and the Protection of Victims " and reported it to the Council for Gender Equality on 3 October 2001 and 2 April 2002.
