Article 23 of the Convention tasks the secretariat, inter alia, with compiling and transmitting the reports submitted to it; facilitating assistance to affected developing country Parties, on request, particularly those in Africa, in the compilation and communication of information required under the Convention; and preparing reports on the execution of its functions under this Convention and presenting them to the COP.

(f) States Parties shall designate a national point of contact in charge of preparing the submission of CBMs, the contact details of which shall be sent to the ISU.
