٣ - تطلب الى اﻷمين العام أن يعلم حكومات الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة، وأعضاء الوكالات المتخصصة، ومجلس اﻷمن، والتنظيمات أو الوكالات الاقليمية التي لها مركز المراقب في الجمعية العامة باعتماد اﻹعلان؛

Expresses its appreciation to the Special Committee on the Charter of the United Nations and on the Strengthening of the Role of the Organization for its important contribution to the elaboration of the text of the Declaration on the Enhancement of Cooperation between the United Nations and regional arrangements or agencies in the Maintenance of International Peace and Security,

and adoption 89. The text of the draft declaration on the enhancement of cooperation between the United Nations and regional arrangements or agencies in the maintenance of international peace and security which the Committee submits to the General Assembly for consideration and adoption reads as follows:
٨٩ - فيما يلي نص مشروع الاعلان المتعلق بتعزيز التعاون بين اﻷمم المتحدة والتنظيمات أو الوكالات الاقليمية في مجال صون السلم واﻷمن الدوليين الذي تقدمه اللجنة الخاصة إلى الجمعية العامة للنظر فيه واعتماده:

85. As a result of intensive work, and on the basis of the revised working paper, the Committee completed its work on the draft declaration on the enhancement of cooperation between the United Nations and regional arrangements or agencies in the maintenance of international peace and security and decided to submit it to the General Assembly for consideration and adoption (see para. 89 below).
٨٥ - نتيجة للعمل المكثف، وعلى أساس ورقة العمل المنقحة، أكملت اللجنة عملها بشأن مشروع إعلان تعزيز التعاون بين اﻷمم المتحدة والتنظيمات أو الوكالات الاقليمية في صيانة السلم واﻷمن الدوليين، وقررت أن تحيله إلى الجمعية العامة للنظر فيه واعتماده )انظر الفقرة ٨٩ أدناه(.

Ms. LINEHAN (Australia) said that while it was not a member of the Special Committee, Australia took a close interest in its work, including its efforts to enhance cooperation between the United Nations and regional arrangements or agencies in the maintenance of international peace and security.

24. The draft declaration on the enhancement of cooperation between the United Nations and regional arrangements or agencies in the maintenance of international peace and security rightly emphasized the importance of regional approaches in the maintenance of international peace and security.
٢٤ - وقال إن مشروع الاعلان بشأن تعزيز التعاون بين اﻷمم المتحدة والتنظيمات أو الوكالات الاقليمية في مجال صون السلم واﻷمن الدوليين )A/AC.182/L.72/Rev.2( يؤكد بحق أهمية النهج الاقليمية في موضوع صيانة السلم واﻷمن الدوليين.

Mr. BAYAR (Turkey), referring to the draft declaration on the enhancement of cooperation between the United Nations and regional arrangements or agencies in the maintenance of international peace and security (A/49/33, chap. III, sect. B), said that despite the increasing importance of regional arrangements and organizations, the United Nations continued to play a crucial role in the maintenance of international peace and security.
٧٦ - السيد باير )تركيا(: قال في معرض اﻹشارة الى مشروع الاعلان المتعلق بتعزيز التعاون بين اﻷمم المتحدة والتنظيمات أو الوكالات الاقليمية في مجال صون السلم واﻷمن الدوليين )A/49/33، الفصل الثالث، الفرع باء( إنه على الرغم من ازدياد أهمية التنظيمات والوكالات الاقليمية، لا تزال اﻷمم المتحـــدة تؤدي دورا أساسيا في حفظ السلم واﻷمن الدوليين.

34. Mr. TÜRK (Slovenia) said that he welcomed the draft declaration on the enhancement of cooperation between the United Nations and regional arrangements or agencies in the maintenance of international peace and security, which presented in a systematic manner a number of ideas pertaining to cooperation between the United Nations and regional entities which had been discussed in various contexts in recent years.
