It reaffirms the need to respect the integrity of the United Nations and the security of its staff operating in areas of conflict, consistent with Security Council resolution 1502 (2003) on the protection of United Nations personnel, associated personnel and humanitarian personnel in conflict zones, and commends UNRWA area staff for their resolute and effective work in response to the emergencies in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
وتؤكد من جديد الحاجة إلى احترام سلامة الأمم المتحدة وأمن موظفيها العاملين في مناطق النزاع، بما يتفق مع قرار مجلس الأمن 1502 (2003) بشأن حماية موظفي الأمم المتحدة والأفراد المرتبطين بها والعاملين في المجال الإنساني في مناطق النزاع، وتثني على موظفي الأونروا في المنطقة وعلى ما بذلوه من عمل يتسم بالحزم والفعالية للاستجابة لحالات الطوارئ في الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة ولبنان.
