C. Compilation of manuals and handbooks 39. To strengthen countries' statistical capacity for compiling national accounts in accordance with the implementation programme for the 2008 SNA and supporting statistics, members of the Working Group have developed or have initiated the development of a number of manuals, handbooks and guidance notes for national accounts, and recommendations for the compilation of basic statistics.
