Recommends that the Special Rapporteur on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography and the Special Rapporteur on violence against women address, within their respective mandates, the problem of the trans-border traffic of women and girls for sexual exploitation and make recommendations to prevent and eradicate this problem;

34. The Special Rapporteur transmitted a joint urgent appeal with the Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants and the Special Rapporteur on violence against women to the Government of Canada concerning a Pakistani woman who had applied for refugee status in Canada and was at risk of being deported.

Pursuant to resolution S-4/1 adopted by the Commission on Human Rights during its special session on East Timor, the Special Rapporteur undertook a joint mission from 4 to 10 November 1999 with the Special Rapporteur on the question of torture and the Special Rapporteur on violence against women, its causes and consequences.

2. Welcomes the efforts and important contributions at the local, national, regional and international levels to eliminate all forms of violence against women, and takes note with appreciation of the work done by the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women and the Special Rapporteur on violence against women, its causes and consequences;

(d) In line with Security Council resolution 1888 (2009), promote continued cooperation between the Special Representative and the Special Rapporteur on violence against women, including consultations and information sharing, as appropriate.
