Urges all countries to respect the full national independence, territorial integrity and the non-interference in the internal affairs of Afghanistan, and takes note with concern of paragraph 37 of the report of the Special Rapporteur (E/CN.4/1996/64) wherein he is informed of the presence of foreigners among prisoners of war;

Also welcomes the convening by the High Commissioner in Bonn, from 12 to 14 March 2001, of the Third Expert Consultation on the Right to Food, with a focus on implementation mechanisms at country level, hosted by the Government of Germany, and takes note with interest of the report of the Third Expert Consultation (E/CN.4/2001/148);
