Mr. Zhaoxing (China) (interpretation from the Chinese): In its resolutions 47/19 and 48/16, the General Assembly reiterated such principles as equality of national sovereignty, non-intervention and non-interference in the internal affairs of another country, and called on all countries to fulfil their obligations under the United Nations Charter and to abide by international law and the international freedoms of navigation and trade.
