(ج) تثقيف الجمهور عن طريق تنظيم حملات توعية وتعبئة اجتماعية لتبيين الآثار الضارة للعقوبة البدنية بهدف تغيير المواقف العامة إزاء هذه الممارسة، وترويج أشكال لتربية الأطفال وتعليمهم تتسم بالإيجابية وعدم العنف وتقوم على المشاركة.

33- وإذ أشارت لجنة حقوق الطفل إلى التدابير المتخذة للتصدي للعقوبة البدنية في المدارس، فقد حثت عُمان على مراجعة تشريعاتها لمنع استخدام جميع أشكال العقوبة البدنية للأطفال ووضع حد لها، والقيام بحملات تثقيف وتوعية عامة وتعبئة اجتماعية بشأن أشكال التأديب البديلة والخالية من العنف، من أجل تغيير المواقف العامة تجاه العقوبة البدنية(67).
