The Committee urges the State party to ensure free access to divers sources of information and to cease the practice of censorship of electronic communication and blocking of Internet sites thereby making the Internet available to all that desire it.
تحث اللجنة الدولة الطرف على ضمان حرية النفاذ الى مصادر المعلومات المتنوعة ووقف ممارسة الرقابة على الاتصالات الالكترونية وحجب المواقع على شبكة الإنترنت بما يجعل الإنترنت متاحاً لجميع من يرغب في ذلك.

29. The Committee regrets that access to various sources of culture is very limited and is also concerned about reports of censorship of electronic communication and blocking of Internet sites.

Among restrictions on political discourse that have given the Committee cause for concern are the prohibition of door-to-door canvassing, restrictions on the number and type of written materials that may be distributed during election campaigns, blocking access during election periods to sources, including local and international media, of political commentary, and limiting access of opposition parties and politicians to media outlets.
