Moreover, the OAU’s comprehensive framework of the Mechanism for Conflict Prevention, Management and Resolution in Africa is an important piece of work for peace on the continent.

We appeal to the United Nations and its Member States to continue to increase their support for the OAU in order to strengthen the institutional and operational capacities of its Mechanism for Conflict Prevention, Management and Resolution in Africa.

In this regard, it notes the work being done by the ad hoc Working Group on conflict prevention and Resolution in Africa to improve the effectiveness of the Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General in Africa.

Faced with all the dangers posed by all these conflicts, Africans have established the OAU Mechanism for Conflict Prevention, Management and Resolution in Africa.
وفي مواجهــــة جميع اﻷخطار الناجمة عن جميع هذه النزاعات، أنشأ اﻷفارقة آلية منظمة الوحدة اﻷفريقية لمنع النزاعات وإدارتها وحلها في أفريقيا.

That being said, the Chairman of the Ad Hoc Working Group of the Security Council on Conflict Prevention and Resolution in Africa has continued to take part assiduously in the work of the groups, thereby maintaining a link between the two organs.
