The Special Representative welcomes the entry into force of the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on a communications procedure on 14 April 2014, as it will strengthen the overall architecture and redress mechanisms of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and its Optional Protocol on the involvement of children in armed conflict.
50- وترحب الممثلة الخاصة بدخول البروتوكول الاختياري لاتفاقية حقوق الطفل المتعلق بإجراء تقديم البلاغات حيز النفاذ في 14 نيسان/أبريل 2014، لأنه سيعزز الهيكل العام وآليات جبر الضرر التابعة لاتفاقية حقوق الطفل وبروتوكولها الاختياري المتعلق باشتراك الأطفال في النزاعات المسلحة.

9. The Committee recommends that the State party take all necessary measures to ensure that legislation and administrative regulations conform fully to the principles and provisions of the Convention and its Optional Protocol on the involvement of children in armed conflict and that it consider drafting consolidated legislation encompassing all rights under the Convention.
9- توصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف باتخاذ جميع التدابير الضرورية لضمان توافق التشريعات والأنظمة الإدارية توافقاً كاملاً مع مبادئ وأحكام الاتفاقية وبروتوكولها الاختياري المتعلق بإشراك الأطفال في النزاعات المسلحة، وبالنظر في وضع تشريع موحد يشمل جميع الحقوق المنصوص عليها في الاتفاقية.

(b) Establish monitoring mechanisms for the investigation and redress of such abuses, with a view to improving accountability, transparency and the prevention of violations to the Convention and its Optional Protocol on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography;

The ICRC had taken an active part in the drafting of the instruments in question, notably the Convention on the Rights of the Child and its Optional Protocol on the involvement of children in armed conflict, the Ottawa Treaty and the Statute of the International Criminal Court, which in Article 8 defined the conscription or enlistment of children under the age of 15 as a war crime.

" (c) All parties in the Sudan to put an immediate end to the recruitment and use of child soldiers and children in armed conflict contrary to international law, bearing in mind that, under the Convention on the Rights of the Child and its Optional Protocol on the involvement of children in armed conflict, children under 18 years of age are entitled to special protection;

(f) Requesting them to continue to follow closely the legal progress made by the Government of Nepal in terms of investigations and prosecutions of perpetrators of crimes committed against children and in terms of enacting laws in implementation of relevant international treaties, in particular the Convention on the Rights of the Child and its Optional Protocol on the involvement of children in armed conflict and the Geneva Conventions of 1949.
(و) يطلب إليهما فيها مواصلة المتابعة اللصيقة للتقدم القانوني الذي تحرزه حكومة نيبال فيما يتعلق بالتحقيقات في الجرائم المرتكبة ضد الأطفال ومقاضاة مرتكبي تلك الجرائم، وفيما يتعلق بسن قوانين تنفيذا للمعاهدات الدولية ذات الصلة، خاصة اتفاقية حقوق الطفل وبروتوكولها الاختياري المتعلق باشتراك الأطفال في المنازعات المسلحة واتفاقيات جنيف لعام 1949.
