9.2 The authors, in the present communications, claim that their relatives have been victims of enforced disappearance since their illegal arrest on 16 June 1992 and that, despite their numerous efforts, no prompt, impartial, thorough and independent investigation has been carried out to clarify the victims' fate and whereabouts and to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The Working Group reiterates that the Declaration on the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance obliges all States to declare all acts of enforced disappearance offences in their domestic criminal law, to promptly and thoroughly investigate all allegations of enforced disappearance and to bring the perpetrators to justice.
