UNDP further advised that, following Armenia's reclassification at the Fourteenth Meeting of the Parties as a Party operating under Article 5, the GEF Council had debated whether or not it should continue providing assistance to the Party, and had decided to maintain the assistance.

Referring to internal developments in the management of UNHCR, he stated that the new structure announced at the Fourteenth Meeting was now in place and that a new management structure for Africa had just been endorsed by the Senior Management Committee.
