At a joint meeting held on 24 May 2011, the extended bureaux of the Commissions agreed to recommend the nomination of Taous Feroukhi (Algeria) and Ignacio Baylina Ruíz (Spain) as Co-Chairs of the working group under its renewed mandate at future intersessional meetings of the Commissions.

The observer for the Czech Republic, speaking on behalf of the European Union, announced the candidature of Ignacio Baylina Ruiz (Spain) for the office of cochairman of the working group on governance and finance to be established by the Commission pursuant to its resolution 18/3.
