Subsequently, on 7 June 2004, a letter of exchange was signed between the Unit and the Centre, formalizing cooperation and coordination between the two organizations in several areas, such as undertaking five joint activities during the second semester of 2004 to assist States in reporting on their implementation of the United Nations Programme of Action and training courses on various issues, in particular disarmament and development.
