I have no doubt that the dedication and professionalism of the members of the Committee, as well as the pluralistic and multidisciplinary nature of their contributions, will ensure that the work of the Committee contributes significantly to the implementation of both the Convention and the followup to the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance in the years ahead.

The Committee notes with appreciation the information provided by the delegation on the execution of a national plan of action on the followup to the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance.
185- تحيط اللجنة علماً مع الارتياح بالمعلومات التي قدمها الوفد عن تنفيذ خطة عمل وطنية بشأن متابعة المؤتمر العالمي لمكافحة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكره الأجانب وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب.

The Committee considered the question of the followup to the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance and the Third Decade to Combat Racism and Racial Discrimination at its sixtysixth and sixtyseventh sessions.

Welcomes general recommendation XXVIII adopted on 19 March 2002 by the Committee on the Elimination on Racial Discrimination, emphasizing the importance of followup to the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance and recommending measures to strengthen the implementation of the Convention as well as the functioning of the Committee;
25- ترحب بالتوصية العامة 28 التي اعتمدتها لجنة القضاء على التمييز العنصري في 18 آذار/مارس 2002 والتي أكدت فيها ضرورة متابعة المؤتمر العالمي لمكافحة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكره الأجانب وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب وأوصت باتخاذ تدابير لتعزيز تنفيذ الاتفاقية وكذلك لتدعيم سير أعمال اللجنة؛

17. Invites indigenous organizations and the indigenous caucus to submit a working paper on appropriate action that might be undertaken by the Working Group as followup to the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance;

Welcomes and emphasizes the importance of implementing general recommendation XXVIII of 19 March 2002 of the Committee , in which the Committee emphasized the importance of followup to the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance and recommended measures to strengthen the implementation of the Convention as well as the functioning of the Committee;
12- ترحب بالتوصية العامة الثامنة والعشرين التي اعتمدتها لجنة القضاء على التمييز العنصري في 19 آذار/مارس 2002 والتي أكدت فيها هذه اللجنة أهمية متابعة المؤتمر العالمي لمكافحة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكره الأجانب وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب وأوصت باتخاذ تدابير لتعزيز تنفيذ الاتفاقية وأداء اللجنة لمهامها، وتشدد على أهمية تنفيذ تلك التوصية؛
