The Minister of Higher Education of the Palestinian Authority, Hanan Ashrawi, stated that the decision to close the educational institutions was politically motivated and had nothing to do with security considerations.
وذكرت حنان عشراوي وزيرة التعليم العالي للسلطة الفلسطينية أن قرار إغلاق المؤسسات التعليمية له بواعث سياسية، ولا علاقة له بالاعتبارات اﻷمنية.
