In response to the above invitation, the Secretariat has conducted a study on improving cooperation and synergies between the secretariats of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions, with financial support from the Government of Switzerland.

Study on improving cooperation and synergies between the secretariats of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions undertaken by the Stockholm Convention Secretariat, UNEP/FAO/RC/COP.3/19;

Recommendations on improving cooperation and synergies prepared by the Open-ended Working Group of the Basel Convention, UNEP/FAO/RC/COP.3/INF.10;
(ب) توصيات بشان تحسين التعاون والتآزر أعدها الفريق العامل مفتوح العضوية لاتفاقية بازل UNEP/FAO/RC/COP.3/INF.10؛

The supplementary analysis of the financial and administrative arrangements which would be needed to implement any changes that the three convention secretariats and UNEP might propose on improving cooperation and synergies is annexed to the present note.

In response to the above invitation, the Secretariat prepared a study on improving cooperation and synergies between the secretariats of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions, with financial support from the Government of Switzerland, which is contained in document UNEP/POPS/COP.2/INF/12.

At its second meeting, the Conference of the Parties to the Rotterdam Convention adopted decision RC-2/6 and, inter alia, welcomed the study on improving cooperation and synergies undertaken in response to decision SC-1/18 taken by the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention at its first meeting (document UNEP/FAO/RC/COP.3/19).

In response to the above invitations, UNEP prepared a supplementary analysis of two options, as discussed in chapter V of the study on improving cooperation and synergies between the secretariats of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions (document UNEP/POPS/COP.2/INF/12). Those options are as follows:
