" ٦ - يحث أيضا جميع الدول اﻷعضاء على توفير المساعدة المالية والسوقية وغيرها من أشكال المساعدة دعما لفريق الرصد التابع للجماعة الاقتصادية لدول غربي أفريقيا بغية تمكينه من الاضطلاع بولايته، وخاصة فيما يتعلق بتجميع الفصائل الليبرية ونزع سلاحها؛

Urges also all Member States to provide financial, logistical and other assistance in support of the Economic Community of West African States Monitoring Group to enable it to carry out its mandate, particularly with respect to assembly and disarmament of the Liberian factions;
" ٧ - يحث أيضا جميع الدول اﻷعضاء على تقديم المساعدة المالية والسوقية وغيرهما من أشكال المساعدة دعما لفريق الرصد لتمكينه من الاضطلاع بولايته، وبخاصة فيما يتعلق بتجميع الفصائل الليبرية ونزع أسلحتها؛

Finally, I urge the Liberian factions to set a date for the complete cessation of hostilities, which is necessary for disarmament and preparations for elections to begin, and to live up to this date.
٥١ - وأخيرا، فإنني أحث الفصائل الليبرية على أن تحدد موعدا للوقف التام لﻷعمال العدائية، مما يعد لازما لنزع السلاح والاعداد لبدء الانتخابات، وعلى أن تلتزم الفصائل بهذا الموعد.

However, delays and obstacles created by different Liberian factions with respect to the Agreement necessitated a range of subsequent agreements between the factions, and the work of UNOMIL had to continue far beyond the original time-frame of the Security Council resolution.

845. In the absence of a summit meeting, the ECOWAS Foreign Ministers adopted a Mechanism for Returning Liberia to the Abuja Agreement, under which they reaffirmed the Abuja Agreement as the basis for achieving peace in Liberia and agreed on a number of conditions to be fulfilled by the Liberian factions.
