The members of the Security Council of the United Nations and the AU Peace and Security Council are committed to strengthening further and enhancing their cooperation, particularly in the prevention and resolution of conflicts, peacekeeping and peacebuilding, including the promotion of human rights, democracy and the rule of law and constitutional order in Africa.
