In its resolution 56/260, the General Assembly accepted with gratitude the offer of the Government of Argentina to host an informal preparatory meeting of the ad hoc committee established pursuant to resolution 55/61, prior to its first session.
12- وفي القرار 56/260 أيضا قبلت الجمعية العامة مع الشكر عرض حكومة الأرجنتين استضافة اجتماع تحضيري غير رسمي للجنة المخصصة، التي أنشئت عملا بالقرار 55/61، قبل انعقاد دورتها الأولى.

The secretariat noted that, following the offer of Argentina to host COP 10 and the decision of the Bureau with regard to the dates for the conference, COP 10 will take place from 6 to 17 December in Buenos Aires at the La Rural conference centre.

Subsequently, the Council recommended to the Assembly the adoption of the draft resolution. In accordance with the draft resolution, the Assembly would accept with gratitude the offer of the Government of Argentina to host an informal preparatory meeting of the ad hoc committee established pursuant to resolution 55/61, prior to its first session.
