In its decision SC-3/12 the Conference of the Parties agreed to terms of reference for the selection of regional and subregional centres for capacity-building and the transfer of environmentally sound technologies under the Convention.
3 - وفي مقرر اتفاقية استكهولم - 3/12، أقرّ مؤتمر الأطراف اختصاصات عملية اختيار المراكز الإقليمية ودون الإقليمية لبناء القدرات ونقل التكنولوجيا في إطار اتفاقية استكهولم.

8. Underlines that the performance of regional and subregional centres will be evaluated by the Conference of the Parties according to the criteria set out in annex II of SC-2/9 and that, based on that evaluation, the Conference of the Parties may reconsider the status of the centres as regional and subregional centres under the Stockholm Convention.

The Convention also foresees the establishment of regional and subregional centres for capacitybuilding and technology transfer to assist developing country Parties and Parties with economies in transition to fulfil their obligations under the Convention.
