For example, licences imposing conditions on space operations may involve many distinct activities such as launches, on-orbit operations, radio frequency usage, remote sensing activities and end of life disposal of space objects in orbit.

His Government welcomed the European Union initiative for an international code of conduct for outer space activities based on free use of outer space, the protection of space objects in orbit and consideration of the security and defence needs of Member States.
وقد وأعرب عن ترحيبت حكومة بلده بمبادرة الاتحاد الأوروبي الرامية لوضع مدونة دولية لقواعد السلوك لأنشطة الفضاء الخارجي تقوم على حرية استخدام الفضاء الخارجي ، وحماية الأجسام الفضائية في المدارات ومراعاة الاحتياجات الأمنية والدفاعية للدول الأعضاء.

In February 2001, China laid down the Rules of Administration on the Registration of space objects in an effort to strengthen the State's regulation of space activities and to establish a registration system for space objects, and to implement effectively the obligations of a State party to the Convention on Registration of Objects Launched into Outer Space.

The draft code of conduct included transparency and confidence-building measures and reflects a comprehensive approach to safety and security in outer space guided by the following principles: freedom of access to space for all for peaceful purposes, preservation of the security and integrity of space objects in orbit and due consideration for the legitimate security and defence interests of States.
