In response to the guidance provided by intergovernmental bodies, including the conferences of the parties, the General Assembly and the Governing Council of UNEP, the secretariats of the environmental conventions and other entities of the United Nations system have given considerable attention and have undertaken continued and more concerted efforts to enhance collaboration among the secretariats of the decision-making bodies.
