62. The Law on Courts (Official Gazette of the Republic of Montenegro 5/02, 49/04 and Official Gazette of Montenegro 22/08) stipulates that everyone shall have the right to address the court in order to exercise their right and that everyone shall be equal before the court (Article 5).

Montenegro ratified the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance by passing the Law on Ratification of the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance (Official Gazette of Montenegro - International Treaties 8/2011) and became a State party to the Convention by depositing instruments of ratification on 20 October 2011.
