Elements of its draft resolution on the situation of women and girls in Afghanistan were integrated into a resolution of the Commission on Human Rights dealing with Afghanistan.

2. It is the fourth report submitted to the Commission on the situation of women and girls in Afghanistan.

The Commission had adopted, inter alia, a resolution on the situation of women and girls in Afghanistan, welcoming Afghanistan's ratification without reservations of the Convention.
واعتمدت اللجنة أشياء من بينها قرار بشأن حالة المرأة والفتاة في أفغانستان، ورحبت بتصديق أفغانستان على الاتفاقية من غير تحفظات.

1. The present report is submitted in accordance with paragraph 14 of Economic and Social Council resolution 2000/9 on the situation of women and girls in Afghanistan, in which the Council requested the Secretary-General to report to the Commission on the Status of Women at its forty-fifth session on progress made in the implementation of the resolution.
1 - هذا التقرير مقدم بموجب الفقرة 14 من قرار المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي 2000/9 المتعلق بحالة المرأة والفتاة في أفغانستان، التي طلب فيها المجلس إلى الأمين العام أن يقدم إلى لجنة وضع المرأة في دورتها الخامسة والأربعين تقريراً عن التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ ذلك القرار.

The Secretary-General has the honour to transmit to the members of the General Assembly the report of Yakin Ertürk, Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on violence against women, its causes and consequences, on the situation of women and girls in Afghanistan, submitted in accordance with Commission resolution 2003/77.
يتشرف الأمين العام بأن يحيل إلى أعضاء الجمعية العامة تقرير ياكين إرتورك، المقررة الخاصة للجنة حقوق الإنسان بشأن العنف ضد المرأة وأسبابه وآثاره على حالة المرأة والفتاة في أفغانستان، ويقدمه وفقا لقرار لجنة حقوق الإنسان 2003/77*.
