Mr. Bliss (Australia) said that the first of the short-term measures recommended by the Secretary-General in his report, namely the incorporation of key provisions of the 1994 Convention in status-of-forces or status-of-mission agreements and host country agreements, was a practical and immediate way of enhancing the legal protection of the personnel covered by such agreements.
