The Temporary Chair, speaking on behalf of the Secretary-General, said that since the Fourth Meeting in 2009, the number of States parties to the Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families had increased from 42 to 45 with the accession of Guyana, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Bangladesh.

In 2010, the Secretary General of the organization attended the first conference of the States parties to the Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage, held in Paris on 26 and 27 March.

Mr. Ndiaye (Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights), speaking as the representative of the Secretary-General, said that, since the first Meeting in 2003, the number of States parties to the Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families had increased from 24 to 34.

Mr. Mbaidjol (Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights), speaking as the representative of the Secretary-General, said that, since the second meeting in 2005, the number of States parties to the Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families had increased from 34 to 37 and now included Albania, Argentina and Mauritania.
