Ms. Mambetalieva (Kyrgyzstan), introducing the second periodic report of Kyrgyzstan (CCPR/C/KGZ/2), said that the revolution in her country in 2010 and subsequent democratic elections had represented a period of hope for the people of Kyrgyzstan.
