It is also an offence to engage in sexual activities with a child between the ages of 14 to 17 years, if there is a relationship of trust, authority or dependency between the child and the perpetrator.

The Directive specifically requires Member States to enact a criminal offence (if they have not already done so) dealing with engagement in sexual activities with a child whose particularly vulnerable situation is abused, in particular because of a mental or physical disability or a situation of dependence.

(ب) ممارسة أنشطة جنسية مع طفل باستخدام القسر أو القوة أو التهديد، أو بخيانة الشخص المعني للثقة المؤتمن عليها، أو باستغلال سلطة أو نفوذ يملكها هذا الشخص على الطفل، بما في ذلك حين يكون هذا الشخص أحد أفراد الأُسرة، أو باستغلال هشاشة أوضاع الطفل الشديدة بسبب معاناته من عجز عقلي أو بدني أو بسبب ارتهانه؛
