It was reported in January 1997 that the Supreme Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran had confirmed both the Talibi and Mahrami death sentences.
وتفيد التقارير أن المحكمة العليا في جمهورية إيران اﻹسلامية أقرﱠت في كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٧ حكم اﻹعدام الصادر بحق كل من طالبي ومحرمي.

The Special Representative was recently informed that the Supreme Court had confirmed the death sentences imposed by the Islamic Revolutionary Courts, on charges that reportedly include apostasy, against Mr. Dhabihu'llah Mahrami and Mr. Musa Talibi.
٢٥- وأُبلغ الممثل الخاص مؤخرا بأن المحكمة العليا قد أقرت أحكام اﻹعدام التي أصدرتها المحاكم الثورية اﻹسلامية على أساس تهم تشمل، حسبما ورد في التقارير، تهمة الردﱠة التي وجهت ضد السيد ذبيح الله محرمي والسيد موسى طالبي.

In January 1997 the Supreme Court confirmed the death sentences imposed for apostasy against two Baha'is, Mr. Talibi and Mr. Mahrami, and another Baha'i has been charged with the same offence (see paras. 25-27 above).

On 3 February 1997 the Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions and the Special Representative sent to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran a joint urgent appeal on behalf of Zabihullah Mahrami and Musa Talibi, who were sentenced to death reportedly on the basis of their religious beliefs, particularly because of their adherence to the Baha'i faith.
٢ - وفي ٣ شباط/فبراير ١٩٩٧، وجه المقرر الخاص المعني بحالات اﻹعدام بلا محاكمة أو بإجراءات موجزة أو اﻹعدام التعسفي، والممثل الخاص، نداء عاجلا مشتركا إلى وزير خارجية جمهورية إيران اﻹسلامية نيابة عن السيدين ذبيح الله محرمي وموسى طالبي اللذين أفيد بأنهما صدر ضدهما حكم باﻹعدام بسبب معتقداتهما الدينية، وبصورة خاصة ﻷنهما ينتميان الى الطائفة البهائية.
