We naturally place special importance and emphasis on the development of good-neighbourly relations with the countries of our region, on the basis of universally accepted principles of peaceful coexistence, mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity and non-interference in each other's internal affairs.

In its statutory documents, its member States embraced the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations together with other universally recognized norms and principles of international law, including those relating to the maintenance of international peace and security and the development of good-neighbourly relations.
