With respect to the designation of a central authority for mutual legal assistance under article 18 of the Organized Crime Convention, notifications from 109 States parties to the Convention have been received and are included in the directory of competent national authorities maintained by the Secretariat. This corresponds to information for about 60 per cent of all States parties to the Convention.
