On instructions from my Government, I am transmitting to you hereunder the text of the statement issued by the Kuwaiti Council of Ministers following the adoption by the Security Council of its resolution 833 (1993) concerning the completion by the Iraq-Kuwait boundary Demarcation Commission of its work.

5. By its resolution 687 (1991), the Security Council established a demilitarized zone along the Iraq-Kuwait boundary and approved the following terms of reference for UNIKOM:
