8. Serbian forces throughout the conflict have undertaken the harassment and intimidation of United Nations personnel in the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the absence of a robust UNPROFOR mandate and long before the introduction of close-air support.

It further demands that the Bosnian Serb authorities cooperate with all efforts, including those of UNPROFOR, to ensure the safety of the civilian population, and in particular its most vulnerable members including evacuation as requested by the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in his letter of 17 July 1995 (S/1995/582, annex).

In this light, I wish to reiterate the support of my Government for the complete and effective control of the borders of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to prevent the infiltration of any foreign troops into that State.

ولا بد لجميع اﻷطــــراف أن تحترم بشكل صارم وقف إطلاق النار والوقف الكامــــل لﻷعمال العدائية في جميع أنحاء جمهورية البوسنة والهرسك من أجل تهيئة مناخ يفضي إلى مفاوضات سلمية. ومن المهم أن يرفع على الفور الحصار المفروض على مدن البوسنة عن طريق سحب اﻷسلحة الصربية الثقيلة من المناطق المحيطة بسراييفو والمناطق اﻵمنة اﻷخرى.
