In order to enhance international cooperation in the field of education and to envisage ways of improving the system of implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in this area, the Committee, represented by some of its members (Mrs. Hoda Badran, Mrs. Akila Belembaogo and Mrs. Marta Santos Pais), held an informal meeting with representatives of UNESCO in Paris in November 1993.
