Recognizing further that Member States have an obligation to provide protection for the victims, and acknowledging the necessity for Member States to adopt, in accordance with their international obligations, measures for prosecuting traffickers, preventing trafficking in persons and protecting and assisting its victims,

Encourages the business sector, in particular the tourism industry and Internet providers, to develop codes of conduct with a view to preventing trafficking in persons and protecting the victims of such traffic, especially those in prostitution, against genderbased and racial discrimination and promoting their rights, dignity and security;

There were a number of challenges that needed to be addressed by the Government if it was to succeed in effectively combating trafficking in persons and protecting the human rights of trafficked victims of all ages.

(a) To establish a centralized national mechanism to coordinate efforts aimed at preventing and combating trafficking in persons and protecting its victims, and adopt a national plan of action in that regard;

4. Encourages the business sector, in particular the tourism industry and Internet providers, to develop or adhere to codes of conduct, with a view to preventing trafficking in persons and protecting the victims of such traffic, especially with regard to commercial sexual exploitation, and promoting their rights, dignity and security, including through collaboration with governmental and non-governmental organizations.
4 - تشجع قطاع الأعمال التجارية، ولا سيما صناعة السياحة ومقدمو خدمات الإنترنت على وضع مدونات سلوك أو التقيد بها، بغية منع الاتجار بالأشخاص وحماية ضحايا هذا الاتجار، وخاصة في ما يتعلق بالاستغلال الجنسي لأغراض تجارية، ومراعاة حقوقهم وكرامتهم وأمنهم، بما في ذلك من خلال التعاون مع المنظمات الحكومية وغير الحكومية.

For example, the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, at its fifteenth session (27 May 2005 and 24-28 April 2006), adopted a draft resolution on strengthening international cooperation in preventing and combating trafficking in persons and protecting victims of such trafficking, which was subsequently adopted by the Economic and Social Council (resolution 2006/27).
