Subsequently, the General Assembly, by its resolution 47/111 of 16 December 1992, endorsed amendments to the treaties monitored by the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and the Committee against Torture, in accordance with which members of those Committees would henceforth receive emoluments from United Nations resources on such terms and conditions as might be decided by the Assembly.
