53. The Chair of the Permanent Forum recalled that the Expert Mechanism, the Special Rapporteur and the Permanent Forum are the three United Nations mechanisms dealing specifically with indigenous issues and recommended that they continue to have regular meetings to strengthen their collaboration and the coordination of their work in promoting the rights of indigenous peoples.
