It may be noted that, of the last four applications received for accreditation, three are from entities located in Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention (non-Annex I Parties) and one is an entity in a Party with an economy in transition.

Each Party included in Annex II to the Convention shall provide information, to the extent possible, on how it has provided capacity-building support that responds to the existing and emerging capacity-building needs identified by Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention in the areas of mitigation, adaptation and technology development and transfer.

19. At the 1st meeting, the Chair invited Mr. Kamel Djemouai (Algeria), Chair of the Consultative Group of Experts on National Communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention (CGE), to report on the progress of the work of the CGE.
