وبرغم هذه التحديات إلا أن الأمة العربية تدرك أيضا أن لديها مقومات وإمكانات متوفرة وفرصا متاحة يأتي في مقدمتها:

May God extend his mercy and forgiveness to these great men, of whom the Arab nation can be justly proud and who strove always to exalt it and enhance its glory.
فليتغمد الله بواسع رحمته ومغفرته هؤلاء العظماء الذين شرفوا الأمة العربية وسعوا من أجل رفعتها ومجدها.

Determination of the nature of the current and future dangers and challenges the Arab nation faces;
- تحديد طبيعة الأخطار والتحديات الراهنة والمستقبلية التي تواجه الأمة العربية.

The people of the Federation are a single people and are part of the Arab nation. Islam is the official religion of the Federation, in which the Islamic sharia is the principal source of legislation, and the official language is Arabic.
وشعب الاتحاد شعب واحد وهو جزء من الأمة العربية ويعتبر الإسلام هو الدين الرسمي للاتحاد والشريعة الإسلامية مصدر رئيسي للتشريع فيه، ولغة الاتحاد الرسمية هي اللغة العربية.

The Kuwaiti people are part and parcel of the Arab nation.
وشعب الكويت جزء من الأمة العربية.

On the other hand, the widening gap between the systems and ground rules the Arab world works with and those that have become established globally threaten to waste the time and efforts of the Arab nation in directions of limited benefit.
ومن ناحية أخري فاتساع الهوة بين القواعد والنظم التي يتعامل بها العالم العربي وبين تلك التي استقرت عالمياً، يهدد بضياع جهد ووقت الأمة العربية وراء مسارات محدودة الأثر.

In that regard, the position taken by the Arab nation as a whole at the 2002 Beirut Summit was a historic opportunity, which must be seized by all those who yearn for peace.
وفي هذا الصدد، طرحت الأمة العربية جمعاء، عبر قمة بيروت في عام 2002، موقفا وأتاحت فرصة تاريخية، يمكن لكل الذين يريدون السلام أن يستغلوها.

Endeavouring to strengthen Arab solidarity and reinforce the bonds of nationality and fraternal ties linking all those who belong to the Arab nation and fostering unity of aim among its peoples,
وسعيا منا لتعزيز التضامن العربي وتمسكا بالروابط القومية وأواصر الأخوة التي تجمع ابناء الأمة العربية ووحدة الهدف بين شعوبها،

(a) To mobilize the combined capacities of the masses in furtherance of the objectives of the Arab nation (art. 8 of the Constitution);

Our leader, Al-Assad, was born in the midst of the struggle of our Syrian people for liberation and independence, as well as of the struggle of all the Arab peoples, when the Arab nation was waging its most ferocious battle in order to achieve its legitimate aims of liberation and unity.
