54. In the statement by its President of 25 March 2004, the Security Council stressed the importance of a regional approach in the preparation and implementation of disarmament, demobilization, rehabilitation and reintegration programmes in West Africa.

٦ - ولم يحرز بعد أي تقدم صوب إنشاء إذاعة اﻷمم المتحدة المستقلة، وهي مسألة أبدى مجلس اﻷمن رأيه فيها في عدة مناسبات كان آخرها البيان الصادر عن رئيسه في ٢٤ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٦ (S/PRST/1996/19).

1. The present report is submitted pursuant to the request of the Security Council contained in the statement issued by its President on 14 November 2011 (S/PRST/2011/21), in which the Council requested me to keep it informed of the activities of the United Nations Regional Office for Central Africa (UNOCA) and developments in relation to the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA).
1 - يقدَّم هذا التقرير بناء على طلب مجلس الأمن الوارد في البيان الصادر عن رئيسه في 14 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2011 (S/PRST/2011/21)، الذي طلب فيه المجلس إليّ أن أبقيه على علم بأنشطة مكتب الأمم المتحدة الإقليمي في وسط أفريقيا والتطورات المتعلقة بجيش الرب للمقاومة.

The Security Council, in the statement of its President of 21 December 2000 on the situation in Guinea (S/PRST/2000/41), welcomed my decision to dispatch an Inter-Agency Mission to West Africa.
أعرب مجلس الأمن، في البيان الصادر عن رئيسه في 21 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2000 بشأن الحالة في غينيا (S/PRST/2000/41)، عن ترحيبه بالقرار الذي اتخذته بإيفاد بعثة مشتركة بين الوكالات إلى غرب أفريقيا.

The Council endorsed this conclusion in the statement by its President on 18 June 2000 (S/PRST/2000/21).
وأقر المجلس هذا الاستنتاج في البيان الصادر عن رئيسه في 18 حزيران/ يونيه 2000 (S/PRST/2000/21).

While this outcome has been accepted by local Serbs, it is the second time that guarantees made during the negotiation of the letter from the Government of Croatia of 13 January 1997 and endorsed by the Council in the statement by its President of 7 March 1997 (S/PRST/1997/10) have not been met.

The Council requests the SecretaryGeneral in his next annual report to give an update on the implementation of resolution 1325 (2000) to include, inter alia, achievements, gaps and challenges to the implementation of the resolution as well as the present statement by its President.
ويطلب المجلس إلى الأمين العام أن يقدم في تقريره السنوي المقبل آخر ما يستجد من معلومات عن تنفيذ القرار 1325 (2000) تتضمن، في جملة أمور، الإنجازات التي يتم تحقيقها في مجال تنفيذ قرار المجلس وهذا البيان الصادر عن رئيسه والثغرات والتحديات الماثلة في هذا المجال.

This report is submitted pursuant to the request of the Security Council contained in a statement made by its President on 26 September 2001 (see S/PRST/2001/25) in which the Council requested me to continue to keep it regularly informed of the activities of the United Nations Peace-building Support Office in the Central African Republic (BONUCA) and the situation in that country.

48. The inextricable links between peace, and equality between women and men, and the need for women to participate fully in all efforts for the prevention and resolution of conflicts were recognized by the Security Council in the statement issued by its President on 8 March 2000 and in its resolution 1314 (2000) of 11 August 2000.
48 - والصلات التي لا تنفصم بين السلام وتحقيق المساواة بين المرأة والرجل وضرورة مشاركة المرأة مشاركة تامة في جميع الجهود المبذولة من أجل منع الصراعات وتسويتها هي أمور سلم بها مجلس الأمن في البيان الصادر عن رئيسه في 8 آذار/مارس 2000 وفي قراره 1314 (2000) المؤرخ 11 آب/أغسطس 2000.
