25. The Committee on Science and Technology submitted a number of recommendations to the Conference of the Parties, which took action on them at its 11th meeting, on 12 October 2001.

7. The Committee may wish to consider the compiled reports and take note of the proposal by the Latin America and the Caribbean region on establishment of the TPN, and to make any recommendations to the COP that it deems appropriate.

9. The Adaptation Committee will provide technical support and guidance, enhancing the sharing of information, promoting synergies and strengthening engagement with national, regional and international organizations, providing recommendations to the COP on means for adaptation, finance, and information on monitoring and review(decision 1/CP.16, para. 20).

(b) To transmit such recommendations to the Conference of the Parties for consideration at its tenth meeting;

The Committee decided at its third and fourth meetings to recommend the listing of nine chemicals in Annexes A, B or C of the Convention and to submit these recommendations to the Conference of the Parties for its consideration in accordance with paragraph 9 of Article 8 of the Convention.
2 - وقررت اللجنة في اجتماعيها الثالث والرابع أن توصي بإدراج تسع مواد كيميائية في المرفقات ألف أو باء أو جيم من الاتفاقية وأن تقدم هذه التوصيات إلى مؤتمر الأطراف لينظر فيها وفقاً للفقرة 9 من المادة 8 من الاتفاقية.

(a) To provide advice or recommendations to the Conference of the Parties (COP) and the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP) on the organization of their work during the 2011 United Nations Climate Change Conference to be held in Durban, South Africa, as well as the organization of the work of the subsidiary bodies and the ad hoc working groups, and of the high-level segment;
(أ) تقديم المشورة أو التوصيات إلى مؤتمر الأطراف ومؤتمر الأطراف/اجتماع الأطراف بشأن تنظيم أعمالهما خلال مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة للمناخ المزمع عقده في ديربان، جنوب أفريقيا، في عام 2011، وبشأن تنظيم أعمال الهيئات الفرعية والأفرقة العاملة المخصصة، وأعمال الجزء الرفيع المستوى؛

25. The Committee on Science and Technology made a number of recommendations to the Conference of the Parties, which took action on them at its 5th, 10th and 12th meetings, on 7, 10 and 11 December (see paragraphs 48-51).
25- وقدمت لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا عدداً من التوصيات إلى مؤتمر الأطراف الذي اتخذ اجراءات بشأنها في جلساته الخامسة والعاشرة والثانية عشرة المعقودة في 7 و10 و11 كانون الأول/ديسمبر (انظر الفقرات 48 - 51).

By that same decision, the Open-ended Working Group was requested to consider such information, as compiled by the Secretariat, so as to develop specific recommendations on options that might exist for addressing any gaps between the Basel Convention and MARPOL 73/78 in respect of hazardous and other wastes and to transmit such recommendations to the Conference of the Parties for its consideration at its tenth meeting.

3. Requests the Open-ended Working Group to consider the information provided in response to paragraph 1 of the present decision, to develop specific recommendations on options that might exist for addressing any gaps between the Basel Convention and MARPOL 73/78 in respect of hazardous and other wastes and to transmit such recommendations to the Conference of the Parties for its consideration at its tenth meeting;
