وعاد السيد الحليبي إلى بيته ثم غادره مرة أخرى في حوالي العاشرة صباحاً لمشاهدة احتجاجات كانت تجري في مكان قريب.

Jassim al-Hulaibi is a 21-year-old student at a teachers' college in Bahrain.

Mr. al-Hulaibi was detained in the Asry prison and then transferred to the Dry Dock Detention Centre, where he was subjected to abuse and ill-treatment.

The guards allowed Mr. al-Hulaibi to talk to other inmates only once a week and tried to extract confessions from him under duress.
وكان الحراس يسمحون للسيد الحليبي بالتكلم مع النزلاء الآخرين مرة واحدة في الأسبوع فقط وحاولوا انتزاع الاعترافات منه بالقوة.

Court hearings for Mr. al-Hulaibi began in June 2011.
10- وبدأت جلسات الاستماع للسيد الحليبي في المحكمة في حزيران/يونيه 2011.

Mr. al-Hulaibi and six others were charged with attempted murder, intimidation and vandalism, among other things.
11- واتُّهِم السيد الحليبي وستة أشخاص آخرين بمحاولة القتل والترويع والتخريب إلى جانب جرائم أخرى.

Several witnesses testified that Mr. al-Hulaibi was not at the university on 13 March 2011 to commit the crimes as charged.
وشهد عدة شهود بأن السيد الحليبي لم يكن موجوداً في الجامعة يوم 13 آذار/مارس 2011 ليرتكب الجرائم التي اتُّهِم باقترافها.

In the present case, Mr. al-Hulaibi was arrested by the security forces without a warrant being shown.
22- وفي هذه الحالة، اعتقلت قوات الأمن السيد الحليبي دون إظهار مذكرة توقيف.

It is alleged that when the Bahraini authorities arrested Mr. al-Hulaibi, they did not produce identification or a warrant, nor did they inform him of the reasons for his arrest.
وزُعِم أن الأشخاص التابعين للسلطات البحرينية الذين اعتقلوا السيد الحليبي لم يبرزوا بطاقات هوية أو مذكرة توقيف، ولم يخبروه فوراً بأسباب اعتقاله.

Consequent upon the opinion rendered, the Working Group requests the Government to take the necessary steps to remedy the situation of Mr. al-Hulaibi without delay.
29- وبناءً على هذا الرأي، يطلب الفريق العامل من الحكومة أن تتخذ الخطوات اللازمة لتصحيح وضع السيد الحليبي دون تأخير.
