The secretariat has provided support to the intersessional process in preparation for the second session of the Plenary of the Platform with support from the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre (WCMC).

To compensate for the delay in recruitment, the secretariat has been supported through interim arrangements with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre.
