Firstly, the preamble contains an affirmation of the adherence of the people of Senegal to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women of 18 December 1979, and a proclamation of free access for all citizens to the exercise of power at all levels and the rejection and elimination of all forms of injustice, inequality and discrimination.

One example is the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women of 18 December 1979 and its Optional Protocol dated 6 October 1999, and the Optional Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa of 11 July 2003, ratified, respectively, on 5 February 2005, 26 May 2000 and 27 December 2004.

It is suggested that the preamble should make mention of other instruments and conventions that deal with the topic of nationality and statelessness, such as the Declaration of the Rights of the Child of 20 November 1959, the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination of 7 March 1966 and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women of 18 December 1979.
يقترح أن تُذكر في الديباجة صكوك واتفاقيات أخرى تعالج موضوع الجنسية وانعدام الجنسية، مثل إعلان حقوق الطفل المؤرخ 20 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 1959()، والاتفاقية الدولية للقضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز العنصري المؤرخة 7 آذار/مارس 1966()، واتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة المؤرخة 18 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1979().

Having considered the reservations and declarations made on 27 February 2001 by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women of 18 December 1979, the Government of the French Republic objects to the said reservations and declarations relating to article 2, paragraph (f), and article 9, paragraph 2.
بعد النظر في التحفظات والإعلانات التي أبدتها جمهورية كوريا الشعبية الديمقراطية في 27 شباط/فبراير 2001 على اتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة المؤرخة 18 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1979، تعترض حكومة جمهورية فرنسا على التحفظات والإعلانات المذكورة والمتصلة بالفقرة (و) من المادة 2 وبالفقرة 2 من المادة 9.
