1. For the purposes of identification and tracing of the firearms referred to in subparagraph (b) (i) of article II States Parties shall:
١ - ﻷغراض تحديد هوية اﻷسلحة النارية المشار اليها في الفقرة الفرعية )ب( `١` من المادة الثانية واقتفاء أثرها ، يتعين على الدول اﻷطراف :

(b) If a request is made by a State referred to in subparagraph (a) the Council shall, in accordance with article 162, paragraph 2 (o), of the Convention, complete the adoption of such rules, regulations and procedures within two years of the request;

3. This Convention applies only to undertakings issued on or after the date when the Convention enters into force in respect of the Contracting State referred to in subparagraph (a) or the Contracting State referred to in subparagraph (b) of paragraph 1 of article 1.
٣ - لا تنطبق هذه الاتفاقية الا على الالتزامات الصادرة في تاريخ أو بعد تاريخ دخول الاتفاقية حيز النفاذ بالنسبة للدول المتعاقدة المشار اليها في الفقرة الفرعية )أ( أو الدولة المتعاقدة المشار اليها في الفقرة الفرعية )ب( من الفقرة ١ من المادة ١.

32. As regards subparagraphs (a) to (d) of article 20, it was suggested that the crime of genocide referred to in subparagraph (a) should be defined on the basis of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, although greater precision and clarity might be required.
٣٢ - وفيما يتعلق بالفقرات الفرعية )أ( الى )د( من المادة ٢٠، اقترح أن تعرف جريمة اﻹبادة الجماعية المشار اليها في الفقرة الفرعية )أ( على أساس اتفاقية ١٩٤٨ لمنع جريمة إبادة اﻷجناس والمعاقبة عليها، وإن كان ذلك قد يتطلب مزيدا من الدقة والوضوح.

18. The Security Council resolutions referred to in subparagraph 3 (c) of resolution 981 (1995) are taken to include those relevant to the functioning of UNCRO (freedom of movement, security, self-defence, including close air support) and those directly relevant to the mandate set out in paragraph 3 of that resolution.
