Article 17 states that the child has the right to " access information and material from a diversity of national and international sources, especially those aimed at the promotion of his or her social, spiritual and moral well-being and physical and mental health " .
وتنصُّ المادة 17 على أنَّ للمراهقين الحق في " الحصول على المعلومات والمواد من شتى المصادر الوطنية والدولية، وبخاصة تلك التي تستهدف تعزيز رفاهيتهم الاجتماعية والروحية والمعنوية وصحتهم الجسدية والعقلية " .

Article 17 (d), while stressing the important role of the mass media in providing information and material from a diversity of international and national sources, also recognizes that the media should have particular regard to the linguistic needs of the child who belongs to a minority group or who is indigenous.
وبينما أكدت المادة ١٧)د( على أهمية دور وسائط اﻹعلام في تقديم المعلومات والمواد من شتى المصادر الدولية والوطنية، فإنها شجعت أيضا وسائط اﻹعلام على إيلاء عناية خاصة للاحتياجات اللغوية للطفل الذي ينتمي الى مجموعة من مجموعات اﻷقليات أو الى السكان اﻷصليين.

c. The State expressed a reservation to article 17 of the Convention, which concerns a child's freedom to access information and materials from a diversity of national and international sources.
· تحفظت الدولة على المادة (17) من الاتفاقية الخاصة بحرية الطفل في الحصول على المعلومات والمواد من شتى المصادر الوطنية والدولية.

35. The Committee encourages the State party to take appropriate measures to ensure children's access to information and materials from all available national and international sources, especially those aimed at the promotion of the child's social, spiritual and moral well-being and physical and mental health, in line with articles 13 and 17 of the Convention.
35- وتشجع اللجنة الدولة الطرف على أن تتخذ التدابير المناسبة لضمان حصول الأطفال على المعلومات والمواد من جميع المصادر الوطنية والدولية المتاحة، وبخاصة تلك التي ترمي إلى تعزيز سلامة الطفل الاجتماعية والروحية والأخلاقية وصحته البدنية والعقلية، وذلك تماشياً مع المادتين 13 و17 من الاتفاقية.
